Freeze Winxp


The freezes didn't go away. I have yet to see in the event log what program, software, hardware, etc. Determine if there are any fans in the laptop and make sure they are not obstructed. Pc Freezes Randomly Windows Xp

Hope this helps somebody with similar issues. I went into Safe mode and did a shut down from there, but when I restarted again, when the Windows XP logo comes up, it changed to random colors, with a Sign in to make your opinion count. Please be detailed as possible when submitting your answer.

They said the hard drive was going bad. But I can't understand why It freezed computer especially when connected to internet. If memtest freezes up, then you KNOW it's a hardware problem and not a software problem (that is not an insignificant point). This will open windows event viewer.
