Business Blogging Highlights
October 19th, 2006 by Paul ChaneyIn the spirit of Hanan Levin’s Grow-a-Brain, here’s a link list of information that business blogging related, though not necessarily real estate realted (but still useful nonetheless).
Performancing.com roles out blog ad network — Performancing is in the business of helping bloggers succeed. That’s what their tagline reads anyway, and they do just that. Nick and the crew just added a blog advertising network to their list of offerings, called Performancing Partners. If you’re a blogger who would like to get some income from your hard work doing all that posting, you might want to join. It’s in beta at the moment, which means there is no actual advertising going on just yet, but that’s soon to change.
B5Media gets round of VC funding — My good friend Jeremy Wright, CEO of B5Media, a blog network, has just gotten a couple of million in funding. Jeremy is a long-haul blogger who proves business and blogging go together. He even wrote a book on the subject. (Via Performancing)
Work.com, a newly-launched site for small business owners — I was browsing my email one day recently to find that a blog I write, the Blog Coach, and another blog I write for AllBusiness.com called Why Blog? was included in Work.com’s Blogging for Small Business Owners guide.
That came as a surprise to me for two reasons. 1) I hadn’t heard of Work.com, later learning that it had yet to launch at that time; 2) I don’t actually write for those blogs any longer. No time to do it is my only excuse. (I guess I should tell the folks at Work.com, but my pride won’t let me just yet.)
Anyway, Work.com launched October 9th, and Tessa Wright over at ClickZ says it’s a site worth bookmarking. According to the press release, the site is designed to be very Web 2.0. Realtors are small businesspeople too, so perhaps you’ll want to check it out.
That concludes this hodge-podge of business blogging highlights. Back to the saltmine.
